Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Education Support Class employee to join our team as a Family Liaison Officer. This role will play a critical part in building relationships with our community and supporting the development of language and cultural programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building relationships with community members and families to support the development of language and cultural programs
* Providing coordination support to teachers through rostering and the organisation of the work of a team of aides
* Conducting routine presentations to parents to assist teachers in communicating objectives and outcomes relating to educational programs and/or students
* Liaising with external providers of support services
* Providing medical intervention support for students with specific medical conditions approved by the Department, requiring specialised training and regular updating
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with community members and families.
A high level of organisational and time management skills is also required, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
