Our Opportunity
HDR’s Architecture Business Group has an opportunity for an Architect / Project Coordinator with strong technical documentation and project delivery skills to join our team in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Working across our key sectors – Federal, Healthcare, Tech/Media/Telecom & Data, Education & Science, you will take ownership of producing high-quality construction documentation and technical deliverables that drive successful project outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting the design intent, by collaborating closely with project teams during design development and construction phases, ensuring that design quality is maintained throughout documentation. Your experience in managing project workflows, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and upholding quality assurance through review and coordination will be key.
Permanent or contract roles are available in either Melbourne or Sydney.
About You
You will bring:
Typically, 3-8 years’ experience with demonstrated knowledge in building design and documentation.Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements (DA, CC, BCA/NCC, DDA)High proficiency with Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and other design software, combined with a commitment to adopting emerging technologies and efficient workflowsPassion for the sectors HDR Architecture is known for - Federal, Healthcare, Tech/Media/Telecom & Data, Education & Science. Strong project coordination and time management skills, capable of managing deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholder requests effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across project teams and with external consultants and clientsA proactive, adaptable working style and willingness to contribute across different sectors and project types as required.A portfolio demonstrating technical excellence and clarity in documentationA keen interest in personal and professional development.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent)Must possess credentials to obtain future registrationExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)Desire to pursue growth opportunities and eventually obtain registrationStrong leadership, communication and relationship management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processDemonstrated graphic presentation skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
