Join the Mental Health team at The Maitland Hospital. You'll be part of a supportive and highly skilled multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, innovation, and person-centred care. This part-time role is for two set days each week (Thursday and Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm).
Responsibilities
* Provide psychosocial assessments and psychosocial support within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
* Address psychosocial stressors, champion family and cultural inclusion, and contribute specialist input around family and domestic violence and child protection.
* Support individuals at risk of homelessness and help connect people to their communities through appropriate networks and resources.
* Participate in treatment planning and risk assessment, with a focus on delivering holistic, person-centred care.
* Engage with consumers, families and carers in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner.
About You
* Compassionate, professional, and adaptable practitioner with a trauma-informed perspective.
* Ability to complete thorough psychosocial assessments and engage inclusively with consumers, families, and carers.
* Strong understanding of how mental health impacts life experiences; comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
* Flexible, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
* Must hold at minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
