About the Facility

Lee Aged Care is an intimate 27‐bed home in the historic town of Blayney, NSW, offering a peaceful and close‐knit setting. Single rooms with ensuites, landscaped gardens and a personalised approach to care make it ideal for residents who value familiarity and relationships and Uralba Aged Care is a small 22‐bed facility in Carcoar, NSW, overlooking the village and surrounding rural landscape. Refurbished rooms, garden access and a reputation for professional, compassionate care make it a sought‐after small home. We are looking for Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our aged care team at Lee & Uralba Aged Care, in a Part Time capacity.

About the Role

The role of the Kitchen Hand/ Cook is to provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service and products to our valued customers.

The Kitchen Hand/ Cook is responsible for assisting in the delivery of high-quality products whilst adhering to the policies and procedures of Roshana. We are seeking a Kitchen Hand/ Cook to work at our Lee Aged Care located in Blayney NSW and Uralba Aged Care located in Carcoar NSW.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Deliver consistent high quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribed service standards.
* Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/ duty statement
* Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty
* Compliance with food safety program, policies, and procedures
* Advise Chef on duty of any catering related issues and needs where required.
* Maintain stock levels as per stock control systems and procedures to ensure customers' needs and presentation standards are meet
* To report all workplace hazards immediately e.g., walkway obstructions, poor lighting, faulty electrical equipment, incorrectly stored boxes, or obstructed exit door

Skills, Attributes and Experience

* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Food Handlers Certificate
* Written and Verbal communication skills
* Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* An understanding of food safe principles.
