Position Overview

Cable Australia is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering existing relationships to support our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities within electrical contracting and consulting engineering sectors.

- Maintain a strong sales pipeline across electrical, mining, renewable energy, and infrastructure markets.

- Manage key client accounts while proactively exploring additional opportunities.

- Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical presentations with professionalism.

- Track sales activities and opportunities using CRM systems to ensure accurate reporting and follow-up.

- Represent the company's brand effectively, upholding market credibility and professionalism.

- Assess client requirements and translate them into suitable, effective solutions.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a self-motivated Business Development professional with a background in technical industries and a strong aptitude for building enduring client relationships. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative in prospecting new opportunities and effectively managing both new and existing accounts.

Qualifications & Skills

- Proven success in business development or external sales roles.

- Prior experience in the electrical industry is advantageous.

- Established network within contractor and consulting channels, with the ability to develop new connections.

- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, maintaining a professional approach.

- Strong commercial acumen and a goal-oriented mindset.

- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.

- Effective organizational skills and self-management capabilities.
