About Us
We are a growing plastics recycling business headquartered in Hamilton, Victoria, on the edge of the Grampians National Park. Our operations focus on the sourcing, processing, and supply of high-quality recycled plastics to meet the needs of Australian and global industry. With strong growth plans, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead sourcing initiatives and drive the development of national collection and consolidation programs.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the reliable sourcing of feedstock for our recycling facility and the ongoing delivery of collection programs for clients across Australia. The successful candidate will also manage logistics and shipping relationships nationally, with potential future expansion into export markets.
While based in Melbourne (or other capital city), the position requires regular travel across Australia and approximately one week each month at our Hamilton facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure feedstock materials that meet customer and facility requirements.
* Establish, implement, and manage national collection programs in line with client expectations and business KPIs.
* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with logistics and consolidation providers for both inbound and outbound goods.
* Explore opportunities in export markets and support international growth initiatives.
* Report on business development performance and deliver against agreed targets.
* Work with third parties to create consolidation points in each Australian state
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in business development, procurement, or a related commercial role.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
* Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Commercial acumen with proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
* Willingness to travel nationally and spend a minimum of one week per month at our Hamilton facility.
* Experience in recycling, logistics, or manufacturing industries will be highly regarded.
