Financial Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our retail property accounting team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial and management reporting, budgets, and forecasts across a portfolio of retail assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure their accuracy and timeliness.
* Review and approve journal entries prepared by the accounting group and manage the preparation of operational and financial statements.
* Prepare and manage outgoings reconciliations, budgets, and wash-ups, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and regulations.
* Oversee the calculation of Percentage Rent, Extended Trade, Occupancy Capping, and Direct Recharges, including major tenant calculations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA/CA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Several years of experience in retail property accounting, including supervisory/management positions.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to interact effectively with senior management, employees, and external auditors.
* Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and software (MRI, Yardi).
