Swan Podiatry and Orthotics
Swan Podiatry and Orthotics is a small, personal and busy private practice in Darwin, Northern Territory. Our main clinic is situated in Coconut Grove, with our satellite clinic based in Katherine.
Swan Podiatry services include biomechanics assessments and gait analysis, nail surgeries, diabetic care, general foot treatment and Indigenous Community care.
Darwin offers a fantastic lifestyle with summer all year round, amazing sunsets, delicious food markets, beautiful beaches, stunning National Parks and spectacular waterfalls. Darwin has a wonderful sense of community, all the resources a big city has to offer but with a small-town feel, no traffic, and a less than 15-minute commute to work from anywhere in town.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
* Provide evidence based podiatric treatment to the highest possible standard
* Assess, diagnose and treat conditions related to the foot, ankle and lower limb
* Perform biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, diabetic foot assessment and partial nail avulsion surgery
* Provide general foot care and education to patients, including present and foreseeable issues
* Maintain accurate and up to date clinical notes
* Maintain ethical and professional standards at all times
* Maintain appropriate infection control standards within clinical workspace
* Be personable and build rapport with client base
* Be willing to travel to satellite clinics
* Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with Indigenous patients
* Be able to work autonomously and as a part of a small team
* Carry out HICAPS terminal transactions and billing through online Medicare and DVA portals
Requirements
The successful applicant must hold the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor of Podiatry
* Current AHPRA registration
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Working with Children's Check
* National Police Check
* Valid driver's license and vehicle
