We're looking for a committed Casual Personal Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Lyrebird Village, Drouin, VIC, where you'll help our residents feel valued, supported, and at home.

Respect also offers home care services in multiple states and manages more than 700 units in various retirement villages and independent living communities.

About the role

The successful candidates will become valued members of our supportive care team, providing high-quality personal care, support, and assistance to residents. Working under the direction and guidance of our senior clinical team, you will help ensure each resident receives the respectful care they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
* Assist clients with personal care, grooming, hygiene, and mobility
* Support daily living needs including meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
* Provide companionship and help clients stay socially and emotionally engaged
* Monitor clients' wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns
* Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
* Communicate effectively and maintain accurate, confidential care documentation

Requirements

Essential:

* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
* NDIS check (or ability to acquire).
* Relevant Certificate III Qualification.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

* Experience in residential aged care.

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
