The Platform
Solotude is a live, growing two-sided marketplace in the disability and care sector. The platform is in its early phase, actively evolving, and preparing for growth. This role is not about rebuilding from scratch- it's about refining, improving, and scaling an existing product.
We're looking for a full stack developer interested in a long-term working relationship, who understands early-stage realities and can also support the platform as it grows and scales.
The Role
You will work closely with the founder and key stakeholders to deliver ongoing improvements to the platform. This is a product-led role requiring strong communication, sound technical judgement, and the ability to adapt quickly as the platform evolves.
There are multiple platform changes and enhancements scheduled for implementation throughout January and February based on structured recommendations from a product specialist. The ability to work efficiently through a defined list of improvements while maintaining clear communication is essential.
A preference is to meet in person (in Sydney) initially to determine mutual fit, as collaboration and communication are critical and the intention is a longer-term engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
• Improving and maintaining an existing live platform
• Implementing a high volume of well-scoped changes during January and February based on product specialist recommendations
• Supporting UI design improvements with a strong focus on usability and accessibility
• Ensuring data safety, security, and responsible handling of sensitive information
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritise features and fixes
• Providing clear cost estimates and timelines for requested changes
• Communicating progress proactively and transparently
• Supporting research and development documentation relevant to Australian government R&D incentive claims
• Helping guide the platform from early-stage execution into a scalable, growth-ready system
