**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Client Relations and Sales**
- Actively seek sales opportunities for events that align with the the unique spaces our venue has to offer.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor event proposals.
- Conduct site visits and walkthroughs with prospective clients, showcasing The Pink Flamingo's unique event spaces and entertainment options.
- Prepare and present event proposals, customised packages, and contracts, negotiating terms to secure bookings and meet monthly sales targets.
**2. Event Planning and Coordination**
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, production, technical, chef) to develop detailed event plans.
- Coordinate with external vendors as needed.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue setups, timelines, and client-specific requirements.
- Ensure each event is executed according to the client's vision and budget, delivering a memorable experience that aligns with The Pink Flamingo's world-class standards.
**3. Budget and Revenue Management**
- Create event budgets, managing costs effectively to maximise profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Track and process client deposits, payments, and invoicing in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the finance department to monitor event expenses and revenue, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.
**4. On-Site Event Support**
- Be available on-site during events to oversee setup, address client needs, and handle any last-minute adjustments or issues.
- Act as the liaison between clients and venue staff to ensure a smooth flow of activities and adherence to timelines.
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, including health and safety protocols, for the safety of all guests and staff.
**5. Post-Event Follow-Up and Reporting**
- Gather client feedback after each event, addressing any concerns and identifying opportunities for improvement and repeat event bookings.
- Prepare post-event reports summarising outcomes, expenses, client satisfaction, and future booking opportunities.
- Work with the marketing team to develop strategies based on client feedback and improve the venue's event offerings.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in event sales and coordination, preferably in a high-energy venue or entertainment environment.
- Proven track record of revenue generation and successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centric approach.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software (Ivvy), invoicing (Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.

**How to Apply**:
This position will commence January 2025.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
