Personal Advisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as a Personal Advisor. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with clients who require assistance managing their financial and legal affairs due to mental illness, injury or disability.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of Victorians, and provide dedicated service to our clients.
Purpose of Role:
The Personal Advisor will respond to inbound calls from clients who have been appointed to receive support. Your primary objective will be to ensure that clients experience a seamless and efficient service with minimal intervention. You will work collaboratively with our team to educate company clients and stakeholders on minimizing incoming calls into the Contact Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage inbound calls, resolve queries and own responsibility for client issues
* Develop and maintain professional phone manner, ensuring effective communication with our customer base
* Approve payments, transfer calls, adhere to rostering, comply with legislation and policy requirements
* Engage with key stakeholders, build strong relationships and facilitate liaison as needed
* Handle inbound calls from clients and support persons, focusing on building trust and rapport
* Manage client information, record all events and provide relevant updates on their financial affairs when requested
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Essential:
* Proven experience in a busy customer service environment with a team-oriented approach
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Minimum 40wpm typing speed with high accuracy
* Strong financial literacy and understanding of basic budgeting principles
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
2. Desirable:
* Experience in a contact centre environment
* Understanding and experience working with clients with disabilities
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
