What is the role?
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support in-service machines and equipment globally. You'll work as part of a team whose responsibility is to provide support to RME's customers by collaborating with RME's regional offices. The primary function of the Asset Support Team is to provide servicing support and to develop solutions for all in service products.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Produce documentation such as Commercial Offers, FEA Reports, detailed calculation sheets and Engineering Reports that supports the sustainment and upgrade of RME's In-Service Equipment.
* Carry out design and produce detailed 3D drawings required to progress any given part or assembly from concept to ready for manufacture.
* Plan and perform professional engineering work with minimal detailed supervision.
* Collaborate within the Asset Support Engineering team and across RME departments.
* Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all design work.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* 2 years' experience in a design engineering environment
* Demonstrably strong mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work in a team-based environment
* Ability to work under minimal close supervision
* Demonstrated commitment to quality engineering
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
* Ability to work in a dynamic, team-based environment
* Ability to work independently
* Current QLD 'C' Class Open Driver's Licence
