Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Protective Service team as a Protective Service Officer in Perth. This role involves providing a safe and secure environment for people and places from terrorism, violent protests, and other events motivated by violence.
As a Protective Service Officer, you will have the opportunity to develop specialist skills and capabilities across a range of areas including maritime, rapid response, and public order management. You will work closely with domestic and international defence stakeholders, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to Australia's defence capabilities and national security.
The AFP is expanding in Western Australia to support important national protection priorities, and this role is part of our largest recruitment drive for Protective Service Officers to support Submarine Rotational Force West at HMAS Stirling.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen, 18 years of age or older, and meet the minimum entry standards. You will also need to provide evidence that you can swim 100 meters freestyle and hold current First Aid and CPR certifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Must be an Australian citizen.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Education: Year 10 Certificate + 2 years of work experience, OR Year 10 Certificate + a nationally recognised vocational education qualification Certificate III level or higher, OR Year 12 Certificate, OR Vocational education qualification / tertiary qualification Diploma level or higher.
* Must hold a valid Australian driver's licence (P Plates are accepted).
* Must provide evidence that you can swim 100 meters freestyle, have a current First Aid and CPR certifications.
