About Us:
The Motor Trade Association Training and Employment Centre is the peak training organisation for the automotive industry, training 1100 apprentices and trainees. We have an excellent reputation as both a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a Group Training Organisation (GTO) within the Motor Industry.
We deliver nationally accredited training to both apprentices and automotive technicians in a range of qualifications under the VET Quality Framework. We also employ over 400 apprentices through our GTO.
About the Position:
In this full-time position, you will provide front-line and administrative support to the Training and Employment Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent service for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome visitors and manage reception, phone, and email enquiries
* Support the team with general administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks as required
* Follow MTA processes and policies
* Handle incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, stationery, and catering
* Support RTO & GTO admin: enrolments, class lists, call-ups, attendance, trainer reports, and compliance documentation
* Manage trade school reminders, surveys, and daily apprentice attendance
* Assist with customer service, reschedules, logins, certificates, and reporting
Key Selection Criteria
* Professional, approachable, and highly organised
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
* Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Experience in RTO or GTO administration a plus
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with VETRAK and LMS systems a plus
