Commercial Contract Manager

Your Role
As Commercial Contract Manager you will lead Marinus Link's commercial procurement and contract management functions ensuring that best-practice commercial and contractual principles are fully integrated into strategic and operational decision-making. You will support effective project delivery, commercial risk management and supplier performance providing clarity and confidence to executive leadership, project teams and external stakeholders.
Position Description & Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategy to support project outcomes.
Functional Excellence: Manage procurement processes and contract administration in alignment with industry best practice and project timelines.
Monitoring & Reporting: Ensure accurate commercial reporting and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Culture & Capability Building: Build commercial capability within project teams and foster a culture of proactive contract management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, suppliers, legal advisors and executive stakeholders to ensure integrated commercial outcomes.
Risk & Opportunity Management: Proactively manage commercial risks and identify opportunities for value creation throughout the contract lifecycle.
You'll Need
Expertise in Commercial & Contract Management: Proven experience leading end-to-end commercial processes including procurement, tendering, contract negotiation and performance management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executive teams, suppliers and government or regulatory bodies.
Technical Capability: Deep understanding of contract law, procurement frameworks ("AS NEC GC21") and commercial risk mitigation strategies.
Commercial & Regulatory Acumen: Strong grasp of public sector procurement policies and major project delivery frameworks.
Leadership & Culture Building: Ability to coach and influence teams to drive a high-performance commercial culture.
Problem-Solving & Resilience: Skilled in navigating contractual disputes, balancing risk and value and maintaining focus in high-pressure environments.
