About the Role The Counsellor is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced Psychologists to assist in student well-being including the delivery of counselling services for Bradfield students in an innovative senior high school. You will provide brief 1:1 counselling interventions to support students in their education, as well as providing group sessions e.g. well-being workshops and study skills sessions. This is a permanent part-time role (28 hours), working 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday preferred), located at our Senior College in St Leonards. About You You are inclusive and understanding towards students with diverse backgrounds, with a trauma-informed approach. You strive to provide a safe, encouraging environment where students can be themselves, be treated as adults, and excel in their HSC. To be successful in the role you will have the following:
* Appropriate degree from a tertiary institution and at least three years study in psychology, or other such study at the Employer deems appropriate, plus two years appropriate vocational experience.
* Two years relevant recent counselling experience in personal counselling and educational OR vocational counselling.
Highly Desired: Candidates with eligibility for registration with AHPRA or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) will be highly regarded.
