About The Role
Barwon Health's Acute Physiotherapy team is seeking organised, dynamic and flexible Grade 2 Physiotherapists to join our busy Acute services at University Hospital Geelong (UHG).
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred physiotherapy care to a broad Acute inpatient caseload within a multidisciplinary environment. You will work across a wide range of clinical specialties, including medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, and Rapid Assessment and Planning.
You will play a key leadership role by supporting, teaching and supervision of Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students when rostered to your area. Your own professional development will be actively supported through structured supervision, learning opportunities and involvement in service improvement initiatives. Weekend work, as part of a shared team roster, forms part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning for Acute inpatientsIndependently manage a designated clinical caseload within a multidisciplinary teamProvide clinical leadership, supervision, teaching and support to junior staff and studentsContribute to service development, quality improvement activities and designated portfoliosMaintain high standards of documentation, data collection and use of health information systems
What We're Looking For
Current registration with AHPRA as a PhysiotherapistClinical experience c onsistent with a Grade 2 Physiotherapist under the relevant Enterprise AgreementDemonstrated ability to practice independently within an Acute clinical settingStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplinesCommitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and evidence-based care
