To find out more visit our website at **.****About the role**We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:* Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons* Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates* Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances* Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.* Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.* Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.* Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.* Ability work across all sites of Homes VIC**Skills & experience*** Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment* Certificate II in Security Operations* Working with children check (or willing to apply for one)* Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPR* Full Australian working rights* Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.* Excellent observational and surveillance skills.* Ability to operate security equipment and systems.* Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.* Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.You must be available to work across the below locations.* Carlton* Collingwood* Fitzroy* Prahran* Park Towers* Emerald Hill* Richmond* North Melbourne* Williamstown* Debney Park **Master License Number:** 409-987-30S## **How to apply**MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.We are proud to:* be certified by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency,* be a partner and supporter of Veterans employment and honoured to have an endorsed INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan.
