About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced
Storesperson
to join our team on a casual on-site basis at Carmichael Mine, Central Queensland. This role is a casual contract and could work up to
10-14 days per month
to assist with planned maintenance. Additional work at short notice may also be offered to assist with shift relief coverage.
Whilst Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary recruitment hubs we encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
As the Storesperson you will be responsible for assisting our Logistics Coordinator with all general store duties including but not limited to;
Inspect, identify, and document all ingoing/ outgoing goods
Maintain minimum inventory levels for critical spares and consumable materials
General forklift duties such as loading and unloading freight
Perform general administration duties such as data entry, record keeping and report generation as required
General housekeeping of stores and laydown area ensuring yard and all areas are well kept and free of safety hazards
Assisting the CHPP Maintenance and Operations teams with routine tasks as directed
To be successful in this role
Previous experience in a similar stores person position
Sound computer literacy – sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised at times
Right to Work in Australia
Current Standard 11 - Highly regarded
Current Coal Board Medical - Highly regarded
Demonstrated safety focus with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team
