* Salary $29.70 - $30.01 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual up to 31 May 2026 - WHA4
* Site locations: Balaklava, Booleroo Centre, Burra, Clare, Crystal Brook, Jamestown, Laura, Maitland, Minlaton, Orroroo, Peterborough, Port Pirie, Riverton, Snowtown, Wallaroo and Yorketown.
Overview
The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network are currently seeking Personal Care Workers to join their CenSTaR Candidate Pool 2025/2026. Joining the pool you will assist in providing care to residents and patients across Yorke and Northern Local Health Network sites.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
* Provide toileting and continence management support.
* Help with feeding residents and maintain their mobility/dexterity through transferring and lifting, including the use of mechanical aids.
* Undertake bed making and cleaning of equipment, aids and utensils in the work area, including personal possessions.
* Distribute clean laundry and personal attire.
* Provide input into resident assessment and record general observations.
* Help identify diversional therapy needs of individuals and/or groups and complete routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
* Appointment subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
* Holds DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check.
* Holding a National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.
* Understanding of Immunisation Risk category A.
