Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Technician/Draftsperson to play a crucial role in multiple projects from concept design to tender documentation.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about detail design and documentation, have excellent technical skills in CAD, SketchUp, and Revit, and strong communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing Designs and Documents: Develops detailed designs and documents for a wide range of landscape projects and elements, working closely with the Project Landscape Architect.
* Creating Working Drawings: Creates working drawings suitable for tender and construction, applying current industry techniques and standards, and Plan E protocol, with minimal supervision.
* Maintaining Industry Knowledge: Maintains a strong working knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to the construction industry and applies them to all aspects of working drawings.
* Ensuring Accuracy: Ensures all documentation produced is highly accurate and consistent with site and project specifics.
* Providing Input: Provides input into Bills of Quantities and Technical Specifications, as necessary.
Advice and Standards
* Technical Advice: Provides technical advice to the Project Landscape Architect during tender, regarding tender documentation.
* Site-Specific Considerations: Provides site-specific considerations, construction methods, and techniques in consultation with the Project Landscape Architect.
* Contract Administration: Provides technical advice to the Contract Administrator, referencing contract documentation.
* Office Drawing Protocols: Develops and provides input into office drawing protocols and procedures, monitoring their use by the office and checking office drawings and documentation as required.
* CAD Skills: Excels in CAD, SketchUp, and Revit formats, applying current industry standards, construction techniques, and Plan E protocol.
