FinXL is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Telco client, specifically we are looking for an infrastructure-focused Oracle DBA with hands‐on experience across both Oracle Exadata and Cloud environments (ideally AWS and/or OCI). FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.
Responsibilities
* Provide end‐to‐end administration for Oracle databases in complex environments.
* Own the operational stability of Oracle Exadata and RAC environments.
* Support and optimize Oracle workloads hosted within AWS and OCI.
* Execute performance tuning, proactive monitoring, and critical patching.
* Manage and test high‐availability and disaster recovery processes.
* Act as a technical bridge between Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams.
* Deliver RMAN backup and recovery solutions for mission‐critical systems.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven track record as an Infrastructure‐focused DBA in large environments.
* Direct, hands‐on experience with Oracle Exadata hardware and software.
* Significant experience supporting Oracle platforms within AWS and/or OCI.
* Expert‐level knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
* Proficiency in Linux/UNIX administration and shell scripting for automation.
* Demonstrated ability in performance tuning and production support.
* Background in Telco, Banking, or Government sectors is highly preferred.
