QIC's Infrastructure team manages ~A$42 billion in global unlisted infrastructure assets and is continuing to grow its portfolio across Energy & Utilities, Transport, and Social Infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of opportunities and long-term investor backing, this is an opportunity to join a high-performing team at an exciting time of growth.
We are seeking an experienced manager to join our Energy & Utilities team at QIC, to source and execute new investment opportunities and enhance portfolio performance through active asset management, with a key focus on industry shifts, megatrends, and technology‐driven disruption. The roles works closely with the QIC Infrastructure team, portfolio company management and boards, QIC clients, global industry stakeholders, and internal specialist teams. The role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct financial modelling, sensitivity testing and scenario analysis
* Assess new investment opportunities through initial reviews and risk analysis
* Support valuation work for new deals and periodic independent asset valuations
* Participate in full investment due diligence across commercial, legal, tax, financial, technical and insurance streams
* Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders and advisors
* Monitor sector, market and economic trends to evaluate portfolio impacts
* Contribute to a cohesive, high‐performing Infrastructure team culture
* Support active asset management, including board preparation, management engagement and client reporting
* Coordinate internal and external resources to source opportunities and optimise portfolio assetsDevelop deep sector expertise across selected infrastructure subsectors, with opportunities to rotate across assets and sectors over time
About You
We are seeking someone with strong financial modelling and analytical capability, proven experience assessing new investment opportunities, and a solid grounding in valuations and due diligence. You will bring sound judgement, professionalism and the ability to build effective relationships while staying attuned to sector, market and economic trends. You are comfortable engaging with management teams, supporting asset management activities, coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities, and you are committed to developing deep expertise across infrastructure subsectors.
