The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced General Manager – Production & Service to lead our operational functions based at our Belmont headquarters.
Reporting directly to the President, this is a key leadership role responsible for managing Tricon's workshop, production, service, and logistics teams. You will ensure seamless day-to-day operations, deliver high-quality service to clients, and drive continuous improvement across performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational planning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support production, field service, and logistics teams in delivering daily operations
* Oversee production scheduling, resource planning, and equipment maintenance to meet quality and delivery standards
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
* Monitor KPIs and ensure alignment with operational and strategic business objectives
* Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to support service excellence and retention
* Manage inventory control, logistics coordination, and workflow optimisation using ERP and digital systems
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS and QA/QC standards
Your Profile
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a production, operations, or service management role, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry
* Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
* Solid technical knowledge or trade background; experience with mechanical equipment or rock drilling tools highly regarded
* Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory management systems
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management are desirable but not essential with strong practical experience
