The Disability Development Officer is responsible for supporting the growth, quality, and sustainability of disability services. This role focuses on service development, community engagement, stakeholder partnerships, and improving outcomes for people with disability in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
Key Responsibilitie
Service Development & Growth
* Identify opportunities to develop new disability support services aligned with participant needs
* Support organisational growth through referrals, partnerships, and community engagement
* Assist with NDIS service expansion and innovation initiatives
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants, families, carers, and support coordinators
* Liaise with allied health providers, community organisations, and government bodies
* Represent the organisation at community events, expos, and networking forums
Participant Intake & Support
* Support participant intake, service enquiries, and onboarding processes
* Ensure services are participant-centred and culturally appropriate
* Assist participants to understand their NDIS plans and service options
Quality, Compliance & Reporting
* Ensure services align with NDIS Practice Standards and safeguarding requirements
* Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance activities
* Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and data related to service development
Administration & Communication
* Prepare reports, proposals, and promotional materials
* Support marketing and communication initiatives related to disability services
* Maintain records in CRM or client management systems
