Project Manager – Cloud
We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of cloud and application modernisation initiatives within a leading higher education organisation. This role is well suited to someone who has hands‐on exposure to transitioning legacy applications and supporting their operation on AWS and/or Azure, and who brings a positive, adaptable mindset to complex environments.
WHAT'S ON OFFER
* $140,000 base + super
* 2-year Fixed Term Contract, with possibility of extension
* Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.

THE ROLE
* Support and manage end-to-end delivery of cloud and application modernisation projects
* Assist with transitioning legacy applications to run effectively on AWS and/or Azure
* Coordinate project planning, scheduling, dependencies, risks, and issues using PPM tools
* Use Jira to track delivery progress, actions, and milestones
* Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
* Support governance, reporting, and compliance with organisational standards
* Contribute to business readiness, change, and adoption activities
* Maintain clear communication across IT, security, and business teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Experience supporting or delivering IT, cloud, or application‐related projects
* Exposure to legacy systems and an understanding of modernisation or cloud transition concepts
* Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments
* Experience using PPM tools and Jira
* A positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and adaptability in changing environments
* Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
* Experience in higher education or other large, complex organisations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
