Job Description
Join a growing organisation in the construction industry as a Finance Assistant and play a key role in their finance team. This position is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented individual eager to contribute to accurate transaction processing and system maintenance in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial operations with a clear pathway for growth.
About the Role This is a newly created role, providing a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on our financial efficiency. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices and credit notes, prepare EFT runs, generate customer invoices, and accurately allocate payments. You will also monitor aged receivables, and reconcile supplier statements. Administrative & Systems Support: Assist with month-end reporting, data entry, and document management.
You will also use Jobpac to maintain accurate financial records and troubleshoot system issues as needed. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement within our AR/AP workflows and documentation. About
You We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in finance and a willingness to learn and grow within the business. You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounts-based role.
You are proficient in Microsoft Excel. You have high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude. Experience in the construction industry or with Jobpac is advantageous, but not essential.
