Administration Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Corporate Services team as an Administration Assistant. This role provides essential support across administration and finance functions, ensuring professional and efficient service to both internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role:
* Provide exceptional customer service to customers, clients, and visitors through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
* Respond to enquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Process applications, payments, and reconciliations according to established procedures.
* Support administrative tasks across finance, records management, and Council programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage front-counter operations, including reception and public areas.
2. Handle facility key distribution and security.
3. Process dog registrations, waste management requests, cemetery applications, and other Council services.
4. Assist with Council website updates and digital content to ensure accuracy of information.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in administration and customer service (Receptionist experience preferred).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* High-level organisation, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Cash handling and reconciliation experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Qualifications:
* Completion of Year 10.
* Police Clearance.
* High-level verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Business Administration (or similar qualification).
* Current unrestricted driver's licence.
* Previous local government experience.
