SVR Construction Recruitment has been engaged to source an accomplished General Manager/Head of Residential Construction to join a rapidly expanding, ASX-listed residential developer and builder delivering premium lifestyle communities across Australia.
You will take ownership of end-to-end residential construction operations across multiple sites and regions. This is a pivotal leadership appointment, reporting directly to the CEO and playing a key role in shaping construction strategy during a major national expansion phase.
The Opportunity
This role leads large-scale, high-volume residential construction projects, ensuring homes are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, on budget, and to a consistently high standard. You will oversee multi-state construction teams across, driving performance, systems, and scalable processes to support sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage residential construction operations across multiple active sites and regions
* Provide strategic and operational leadership to senior construction teams
* Drive construction programs, build time efficiencies, and productivity outcomes
* Ensure strong cost control, margin performance, and subcontractor delivery
* Embed best-practice WHS, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks
* Optimise systems and processes to support volume growth and consistency
* Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Contribute to executive decision-making and long-term business planning
About You
* Extensive leadership experience in volume residential construction, experience in lifestyle communities would be highly regarded.
* Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects and large teams
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to improve margins and performance
* Deep understanding of construction programming, cost control, and delivery models
* Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes, compliance, and WHS
* Highly developed people leadership and communication skills
