Disability Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team in a Short Term Accommodation setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in the disability sector and making a real difference in people's lives. You will be responsible for providing daily living assistance, personal care, and supporting individuals with their goals and aspirations.
Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities
* Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
* Support individuals with their goals and aspirations, promoting independence and empowerment
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or Aged Care (or enrolled in your second year of study towards this qualification)
* 1 year's experience in the Health, Care, and/or Disability industry (behaviours and mental health experience preferred)
* A Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Valid Australian Driver Licence (Red Provisional – minimum)
