This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the installation, programming, and maintenance of radio communications systems across a range of customer environments. Two critical requirements are:
* Demonstrated hands-on experience working with two-way radio communications systems (this role is not suitable for candidates with only cellular telecom experience such as 3G, 4G or 5G).
* Strong knowledge of VHF and UHF radio systems across multiple technologies including DMR, P25 and TETRA.
* Experience with Motorola or similar equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Radio Communications Technician to join our NSW technical team based in Sydney.
As part of the Melbourne technical delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of radio communications infrastructure.
The role involves both site-based and field work and will require travel to project locations as required. You will work closely with engineering, planning and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standards expected by our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, programming and fault finding of voice and data radio systems, primarily Motorola equipment
* Installation and troubleshooting of microwave and IP communications equipment
* Installation of communications equipment in vehicles and customer premises
* Work closely with the engineering team to support project delivery
* Support scheduled maintenance across customer radio networks
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
* Participate in the on-call support roster as required
Additional Skills & Experience
* Experience with Motorola radio systems highly regarded
* Experience installing and troubleshooting IP-based communications equipment
* Microwave communications experience advantageous
* Comfortable working at heights and in field environments
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Radio Communications (or equivalent trade qualification)
* Construction Card
* Australian driver's licence (manual vehicle preferred)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
