Primary objective
Lead the Setup and Configuration team in the analysis, assessment, interpretation and delivery of NT Health setup and configuration activities in TrakCare,
for the Acacia System, in accordance with Functional Group project plans and the overall program approach.
Context statement
The Core Clinical Systems Renewal Program is a major technology program delivering Acacia - a Territory-wide single, integrated health electronic record
system. Through an inter-agency collaborative approach, the team comprises of public sector employees and contractors working together to deliver
multiple streams of activity as the system is delivered in a phased approach. The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced and results driven with high
expectations of superior service delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team in the analysis, assessment, interpretation and delivery of NT Health setup and configuration activities in TrakCare, in order
to meet functional specifications.
2. Plan, coordinate and execute end to end development, unit testing, documenting and release of setup and configuration changes, in accordance with
environments and change control processes.
3. Assess and analyse change requests impacting the TrakCare solution, submitted by stakeholders including changes from Health applications managed
by Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD).
4. Lead the transition and knowledge transfer of setup and configuration activities and tasks to DCDD, in accordance with transition plans and the program
implementation approach.
5. Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors, to effectively liaise and ensure accurate interpretation and
quality setup and configuration of the NT Health content, in accordance with Functional Group Plans and the Setup and Configuration team priorities.
6. Take ownership of all setup and configuration team activities including management of service providers to ensure work packages are delivered on
time, to expected quality standards and as per scope.
7. Ensure status reports are accurate and submitted in accordance with Program requirements.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Excellent oral, written communication and stakeholder management skills with the proven ability to effectively lead others and collaborate and influence
stakeholders of diverse cultures.
2. Strong demonstrated experience leading, coordinating and implementing systems development and configuration activities, encompassing a good
working knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks relevant to enterprise systems.
3. Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to assess business requirements, issues and propose effective and ethical technical
solutions.
4. Well-developed knowledge of and proven experience in contemporary techniques, concepts, standards and processes appropriate for the development
of enterprise systems.
5. Demonstrated experience coordinating change and release activities in an enterprise systems development context.
6. Highly organised, able to multi-task, plan and manage competing priorities and guide a team through high demand periods, with a proven record of
achieving milestones and results in agreed timeframes.
7. Highly skilled in the use of usual office tools such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail), proficient in the use of JIRA,
Confluence and SharePoint or ability to quickly acquire.
8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, Innovation, Ethical practice, Accountability, Impartiality,
Diversity and Respect.
Desirable
1. Recent or current experience working within a Clinical Systems Replacement Project and/or specific experience with setup and configuration of NT
Health applications is considered an advantage.
2. Experience and general familiarity with Health industry clinical terminology, data and systems.
3. Systems analysis and configuration experience of the InterSystems TrakCare product.
