OPERATIONS MANAGER
Aluminium Fabrication company is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our growing team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing operational performance, improving workflows, coordinating resources, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across the business. About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, team development, production coordination, and continuous improvement throughout our fabrication and installation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
* Oversee day-to-day activities within the fabrication facility
* Coordinate current and future projects in conjunction with management
* Develop and implement workflow improvement procedures
* Ensure operational activities are delivered efficiently and cost effectively
Quality Assurance
* Develop and maintain quality standards
* Identify and rectify quality issues prior to project completion
* Complete QA documentation in conjunction with supervisors and clients
* Ensure all employees comply with company quality procedures
Training & Development
* Develop and implement employee training programs
* Standardise fabrication and installation processes
* Maintain employee skills and training records
* Promote cross-skilling across all areas of fabrication and installation
* Support succession planning for senior roles
People Management
* Lead and develop a positive team culture
* Encourage teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
* Support employees through effective communication and leadership
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure compliance with all WH&S policies and statutory requirements
* Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
* Ensure all company policies, licensing, permits, and legal obligations are adhered to
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
* Proven management and leadership experience
* Aluminium fabrication and product application knowledge
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong planning, delegation, and organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict effectively
* Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Basic computer, office, and clerical skills
