**POSITION**
The Learning and Development Lead will take the vision of this function and execute the implementation of an establishment Learning and Development Strategy. This strategic position is responsible for leading the design and delivery of accredited and non-accredited, comprehensive training programs for key members of the YMCA of Brisbane and Y-Care.
The L&D Strategic Development Lead sits within the Human Resource Team and is dedicated to supporting workforce development through strategic planning, designing and delivering high quality, accessible and relevant learning materials and tools to support the development of a growing highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
An exciting opportunity is available for a Permanent Full-Time Learning and Development Lead to join our team at the YMCA Administration Office located in Fortitude Valley.
**Key Responsibilities**
Working collaboratively and within a small team, the position supports the full spectrum of learning and development responsibilities and provides support on Human Resource Management practices including;
- Execution of the Strategic Learning Framework including Compliance & On boarding, Job Ready Framework, Talent Framework, Learning and Development Framework, and Women-in-Leadership Series.
- Ensuring the training framework is aligned to budget planning and scope of business.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand operational objectives and compliance training needs.
- Liaise with the Human Resources Manager to identify learning and training needs through skill gap analysis and other methods;
- Support the HR Manager in the facilitation of constructive organisational culture change through facilitation of workshops, presentations, coaching or other interventions with staff and leaders across the organization (as required);
- Provide training as required to support the effective use of e-learning materials;
- Work with internal resources and external providers to secure and/or develop a number of units and courses on the e-learning system including: e-resources, webinars and compliance courses as required;
- Supervise and mentor L & D Instructional Designer
**Selection Criteria**
To be successful in the role, you will be able to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Organisational Psychology coupled with relevant experience;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- Understanding of multiple business contexts across a variety of sectors;
- Demonstrated ability to contextualise training to learner / client requirements;
- Deep understanding of different mediums for creating meaningful adult learning experiences;
- Experience designing compliance, leadership and team development programs and initiatives;
- Working knowledge of course structure in Learning Management Systems;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines;
- Demonstrated high-level of computer skills with experience in using eLearning software and creation platforms, desktop publishing, graphic design software and various multimedia tools to successfully develop high quality E-Learning programs;
- High level of attention to detail;
- High level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast pace environment;
