Operations and Maintenance Role for Defence Sector
The opportunity exists for an engineer to step into a stable operations and maintenance role supporting the defence sector.
This position is based in Darwin and will require relocation which the company will support with.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Engineer in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry, with Tank Storage experience being highly regarded.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, is also required.
The successful candidate will be proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
They will also have knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the field of due diligence and asset evaluation.
In addition, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to identify risks, assess conditions, and make sound recommendations.
The following are some key responsibilities of this role:
* Leading engineering design reviews in the development of minor project works.
* Developing scopes of work, setting clear expectations up-front, and managing subcontractors to deliver outcomes across a broad range of project development.
* Conducting multi-disciplinary engineering investigations and root cause analyses to address operational challenges.
* Engaging appropriate Subject Matter Experts to ensure outcomes are achieved in the required timeframes.
* Assisting with asset return to service, managing the review of QA documentation.
* Developing in-depth knowledge of assigned sites to support operational continuity and provide backup support for Superintendents and Supervisors as required.
