Position Title: Maintenance Assistant Classification: Handyperson Trade (GH1) Salary range per hour: $36.00 superannuation generous salary packaging options Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 40 hours per fortnight Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 Role description Inglewood & District Health Service is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to support the delivery of high‑quality maintenance services across our facilities and grounds. Working under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all buildings, gardens, and outdoor areas are well presented, safe, and maintained to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in their work, and has a strong focus on preventative maintenance and responsiveness to service requests. Key Responsibilities * Assist in the delivery of day‑to‑day maintenance services across IDHS facilities and grounds * Ensure buildings, gardens, and outdoor areas are maintained and presented to a high standard * Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with established schedules * Respond to staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner * Support the Facilities Manager with general maintenance duties and reporting * Work safely and in accordance with WHS policies and procedures * Liaise with contractors where required About you * Experience in maintenance, gardening, a relevant trade or a similar role. * Demonstrated multi-skilled handyperson ability, and the ability to take a hands-on approach. * A great work ethic and attention to detail.
