About the Role
We are looking for a Family Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to women, children, and young people impacted by domestic and family violence. This role involves delivering trauma-informed counselling, family therapy, and group programs to assist in recovery and healing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide attachment-based, trauma-informed counselling to individuals and families.
* Facilitate therapeutic groups for women, children, and young people.
* Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy as needed.
* Offer outreach counselling in schools or community settings.
* Contribute to professional development and training initiatives.
About You:
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, or related field.
* Experience in counselling and therapeutic interventions for trauma survivors.
* Knowledge of gender-based violence, safety planning, and advocacy.
* Ability to work with diverse populations, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for family well-being.
