This senior-level Head of Product position has been created to drive design operations, technical development, and production.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for balancing creativity with commerciality, ensuring design innovation is underpinned by operational excellence.
* Balancing Creative Vision & Commercial Objectives:
* Critical Path Management: End-to-End Responsibility
* Team Leadership & Support: Hands-on Approach to Overcoming Challenges
* Milestone Achievement: Design Handover, Sampling, Approvals, Bulk Production, and Delivery
* Progress Reporting: Timely Updates to Senior Leadership
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing to Align Collections with Customer Needs and Seasonal Trends
2. Deliver Well-Balanced Ranges that Support Retail and Wholesale Channels
3. Monitor Product Performance and Drive Continuous Improvement in Design and Production Processes
4. Manage Budgets Across Design and Production to Maximize Efficiency and Profitability
5. Oversee Full Production Lifecycle, from Prototyping through to Final Manufacturing
6. Develop Strategies for Design and Production that Align with Company Objectives
7. Drive Process Improvements to Enhance Efficiency, Quality, and Cost Control
Requirements:
* Proven Expertise in Critical Path Management, Supplier Negotiations, and Team Support
* In-Depth Knowledge of Garment Construction, Fabric Sourcing, and Manufacturing Processes
* Strong Commercial Acumen with Ability to Balance Design Innovation and Business Performance
* Excellent Leadership, Communication, and Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills
* Proficiency in Design Software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD)
