As a result of continued investment into realising their vision and mission, OA is now seeking a newly created Head of Strategic Communications role and Six Degrees is excited to be partnering with on this search. **The Role**
Reporting into the Marketing and Communications Director, the Head of Strategic Communications leads the strategic direction, planning and delivery of all internal and external communications activity to drive the achievement of the OA brand, company, audience, partnership, and engagement objectives. Leading a small team as well as external agency partners the role will ensure there is continued and positive communications with key stakeholder groups, both audience and media communities as well as business and government departments. Internally the role will be highly influential, providing strategic leadership and senior media advice across all communications activity including campaign development and execution, media relations, and content creation. Working closely with the board, CEO and executive team both proactively and reactively through opportunity identification and issues management. Working alongside the Head of Marketing, this role will lead and deliver a department wide marcomms strategy that supports the OA brand, audience, and company objectives set out in the strategic plan.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record of delivery in a strategic communications or public affairs role where you have led internal, external, and corporate communications strategies that have delivered measurable results for your organisation. Leadership capability and the ability to engage, develop and retain staff in a high performance culture will be critical as will a strength in stakeholder management across a diverse group, both internally and externally. Your written and verbal communication skills will be exemplary as will your commercial acumen and your understanding of how your role contributes to financial growth.
