About the Job
Work to be carried out will include (but not limited to):
* Complete end to end installation & maintenance on FTTN/FTTC/FTTP.
* Install enterprise IT and computer equipment, including server cabinets & racks, servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, cable management.
* Install cable containment including cable baskets/trays, ducting & fibre duct.
* Install NTD, premises cable, and activation of NTD.
* Decommission ICT equipment, provisioning and cross-connects.
* Perform fault location, resolution, and service restoration on fibre network
* Perform splicing
* capable of reading plans
* Perform ongoing proactive maintenance and copper network assurance.
* Perform civil works including trenching.
* Perform underground and Overheard Service location.
* Perform fault finding on copper network
* Capable of using Dynatel to locate faults
* Install copper lines
* Be active in contributing your technical experience within a team.
* Liaise with Company clients as required by the organizational processes.
* Contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
About you
* Experience working on the NBN project - preferred.
* Enable accredited skills required for the job for NBN technologies (1,2,3,5,9,12,33) (preferred or must be willing to gain them).
* First Aid, White Card, Traffic Implementer, working in confined space, Valid Driver's License, open cable license and working at heights.( Preferred or willing to gain)
* Be able to always uphold health and safety standards
* Hold a current Cabling License with endorsements of Structured and Fibre Optics preferred
* Can work as part of a team or independently.
* Are proactive and have problem solving attributes.
* Are willing to work some weekends.
* Have excellent safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail, to maintain a high standard of workmanship.
