Summary:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Project Manager (PSG) in Brisbane QLD, Australia, and lead world-class projects in the pharmaceutical sector. You will successfully use advanced project management capabilities to independently lead a portfolio of complex /commercial client projects to ensure flawless delivery. This senior role will draw on extensive experience within the pharmaceutical or closely related GMP-regulated industry to deliver high-quality outcomes. Mentor junior project managers, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

Independently leads large, complex / commercial project portfolios or multiple client projects, planning and delivering at all project stages, ensuring timely delivery within budget and revenue constraints.
Collaborates well, building effective business relationships and brings new or alternative perspectives forward to overcome difficulties or uncertainties to build a coalition, crafting S.M.A.R.T. objectives to form realistic roadmaps.
Structures project(s) in line with client strategy by demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach which reflect an understanding of the customer's target market and value proposition; achieving on-time completion within financial and revenue parameters.
Optimizes processes to identify needs, defines resources requirements, tracks performance and identifies improvement opportunities. Supports cross-functional teams to be successful.
Deliver outstanding client service, as measured by Customer Allegiance Scores (CAS), balancing responsibilities between clients and the site and keeping teams informed of major achievements.
Address customer feedback through surveys and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
Proactively identifies, monitors and evaluate project challenges and partners with cross functional teams to identify solutions and deliver positive outcomes. Mentors other team members on project resolution. Maintains accountability for individual and team outcomes.
Efficiently manages client expectations and maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
Prepares and presents project performance reports to site leadership / Joint steering committee level. Able to communicate project risks effectively, developing and implementing mitigation plans.
Pro-actively coordinates, tracks, negotiates and resolves financials, including revenue recognition and invoicing, using appropriate tracking tools in response to project milestones and performance.
Extensive understanding of customer contract terms and conditions; skilled in negotiation skills and techniques and coaches others in effective contract management.
Ensure all project close-out activities are completed and lessons learned are reported.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in science or related field, or equivalent experience ideal. PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:

Relevant demonstrable experience in a client facing role, with a background in pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.

Proven background in a client-facing project management role operating in the pharmaceutical manufacturing field or a closely related GMP-regulated environment.

Experience must include direct accountability for delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a regulated setting

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Proficiencies:

Strong understanding of project management principles is required. Deep knowledge of cGMP and the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred. Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills are required. PMP certification or knowledge of PMBOK is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination to move about office locations; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, and read materials for prolonged periods.
