In the role of Resource Manager, you will manage resources associated with the delivery of assigned civil infrastructure activities, or program activities linked to our core business of construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and servicing. You will continuously develop workforce capability and maintain a working environment conducive to high productivity, capacity and competence to meet the civil infrastructure delivery needs of the business.
Accountabilities include:
- Actively manage the labour resource pool to maximise efficiency and minimise the impact of peaks and troughs.
- Manage effective workforce performance processes to maximise resource effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to facilitate business, technical and personal development.
- Assist in the development and lead the implementation of workforce planning strategies.
- Manage injury and rehabilitation procedures and processes to ensure coordination of suitable duties and return to work practices.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal customers and key temporary labour suppliers and manage Standing Offer Arrangements for resource pool suppliers.
- Participate in the implementation of the operational unit plans and assist with development of strategic business plans.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Criminal history screening will be conducted on the recommended person for the role.
- Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland \"C\" class driver's licence or equivalent.
- A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the operational unit and/or the State. You will be entitled to allowances for such travel.
- TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
Desirable requirements:
- Human Resource Management qualifications.
- Certificate IV in Project Management.
