About the Role
Our client is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Sales Estimator or Production Estimator to join their dynamic team. Either of these roles will suit anyone looking for long-term stable employment or seeking career growth opportunities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Provide accurate sales estimates as per client's requests to combine, where applicable, standard options, non-standard options, earthworks and slab upgrades, ensure siting and requests comply with Australian regulatory requirements and bodies
* Support different areas of the business (including but not limited to) the customer's requirements (at sales stage) and to integrate options and variations required to complete contract quotation's (including amendments when required), colour selection variations, client changes and post and pre contract variations
* Provide accurate quantities and maintain Client's Price Book of standard options for their product range using their Sales Estimating software\
* Ensure relationships with internal and external customers, supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors are maintained and improved
* Produce Purchase / Work orders and quantity take-offs in a timely manner
* Provide margin reports and request and interpret quotations
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 1 year experience in an Estimating combined with the ability to interpret working drawings, technical knowledge of construction methods (Residential construction preferred)
* Self-motivated, values driven and target focused coupled with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a quality focus
* Qualification in Building / Construction and/or trade experience is highly desirable along with Working knowledge of the Building and Construction process
* Exposure to estimating systems including DataBuild is highly advantageous
* Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines as well as being self-motivated and have the desire to succeed
