The Position
Reporting into the Group General Manager - Operations, the Head of Engineering is a key leadership role responsible for driving the operational excellence, reliability and continuous improvement of the company's processing and distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the maintenance and compliance programs across the groups operations to maintain safety, compliance and reliability.
* Lead a large maintenance/reliability team,across multiplesites,and a PMO/engineering capital projects team.
* Ensurethe effective delivery of strategic engineering initiatives, capital projects, maintenance programs, and technical innovation across the group.
* Lead systems development and implementation across group sites.
* Review, audit and optimise scheduling systems and processes. Evaluate alignment with business requirements and develop recommendations on system improvements, compliance and regulatory obligations.
* Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimise site processing and distribution facilities.
* Build the engineering capacity to support the group
* Recommend best practice capability, equipmentenhancements, drive innovation and technology throughout the organisation.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical preferred).
* Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering roles within the food processing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
