We are looking for a energetic individual to join the Shell Club in a Maintenance/Handy person roll. Reporting to the House Manager, the successful candidate will have a can do attitude with a broad set of skills to help maintain and improve the venue and it daily operations the position would require but not limited to
* Inspect the building, grounds, and equipment.
* Handle necessary repairs and maintenance.
* Install equipment and appliances.
* Follow venue workplace safety program
* Keep a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
* Report any issues to the House Manager
* Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
* Load and unload deliveries across the week
* Collaborate with contractors as needed.
* Work with the operations team to help with venue set up and break down
* Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
* Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
The position is on a full time basis with some weekend work required depending on venue requirements. You will be paid under the licensed club award.
The position does require an element of physical labour so candidates will be need to be up to the task to maintain the position, desirable attributes include:
* Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 25kg.
* Communicates effectively, speaking multiple languages is preferred.
* Collaborates with maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors.
* Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record
