We're looking for an Administration Officer superstar that is a proactive and compassionate team player who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment. You'll demonstrate a commitment to quality service, patient safety, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Managing patient admissions.
* Delivering excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.
* Performing Health Fund Checks / Medicare DVA as required.
* Managing the collection of excesses / co‐payments.
* Maintaining accurate patient records and performing billing or reporting functions as required.
* Prioritising tasks and deadlines in a fast‐paced clinical environment.
* Supporting our team by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven administrative experience in a busy, customer‐focused environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Strong computer literacy and high data accuracy across multiple systems.
* Sound organisational and problem‐solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A positive, respectful approach when working with diverse teams and clients.
* Ability to work as a team and autonomously.
* Flexible to work a variety of shifts – Monday to Friday: Open Shift 7:25 am to 14:30 pm & Close Shift 12:30 pm to 8:00 pm on a rostered basis; Saturday to Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with one weekend shift per month.
* Demonstrated knowledge in Eftpos systems.
* Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and webPAS.
* Minimum of 3 years Medical Administration experience – essential.
