About the Business
We're partnering with a large, complex national organisation with a multi‐billion‐dollar footprint and a strong mandate for transformation. With a transport network that touches every part of the country, this business is investing heavily in long‐term infrastructure and capability uplift; and this role is a key part of that journey. With a greenfield program now underway, this is a rare opportunity to lead an enterprise‐wide Transport Management System (TMS) implementation from the ground up.
The Opportunity
As TMS Program Manager, you will lead the delivery of a national, multi‐year TMS rollout — with the system already selected and moving into implementation. This is a complex, high‐impact role where success will hinge on your ability to align multiple stakeholder groups across the program — from operations and internal technology teams through to systems integrators and the vendor. Critically, you'll bring a deep understanding of complex transport networks (first, middle and last mile), allowing you to translate operational reality into practical system outcomes. You'll sit at the centre of the program, driving execution, removing roadblocks and ensuring all parties are working toward a common outcome. This is a hands‐on, solution‐focused role requiring strong engagement, collaboration and delivery discipline.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead the end‐to‐end implementation of a selected TMS across a national, multi‐site transport network
* Act as the central point of alignment between operations, IT, systems integrator and vendor
* Translate complex transport network requirements into scalable system solutions
* Drive program delivery across timelines, budget, risk and change management
* Partner with the SI and vendor to ensure successful configuration, integration and deployment
* Manage stakeholder expectations across multiple functions and levels
* Track and deliver against key metrics including DIFOT, service, safety and cost
* Embed new processes, systems and ways of working across the network
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience delivering TMS implementations in complex network environments
* Deep understanding of large‐scale transport networks (first, middle and last mile)
* Strong track record working with systems integrators and technology vendors
* Exceptional stakeholder alignment capability across operations and technology
* A pragmatic, solution‐focused mindset with the ability to navigate complexity
* Hands‐on program delivery experience across governance, risk and execution
Highly Regarded
* Experience within high‐volume logistics, retail or FMCG environments
* Exposure to complex, multi‐site or unionised operations
* Background in greenfield or large‐scale transformation programs
* Strong understanding of end‐to‐end transport networks
