Research Assistant - Neuroscience and Drug Development
The role of a Research Assistant is to provide experimental, technical and administrative support on a range of research activities including assay development, in vitro drug screening, cell culture and microscopy analysis.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong eye for detail and a consummate team player who has a keen interest in making a lasting impact in therapeutic development for neurodegenerative diseases. Ideally, you have experience in cell culture, in vitro assays, and drug testing.
About You
You are a motivated and meticulous individual who takes initiative when completing assigned research project tasks and exercise rational judgement and decision-making skills to troubleshoot experimental issues. You will enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and will be able and actively participate in group analysis work.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct experiments and data analysis using various laboratory techniques such as cell culture, high throughput assay screening, immunocytochemistry, protein extraction, and Western blotting.
* Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures.
* Collaborate with researchers to design and implement research studies.
* Analyze and interpret data to inform research decisions.
* Participate in the preparation of research reports and publications.
