🚀 Sales Manager - Oceania (Consumer Electronics)
Location: Remote (Australia/New Zealand focus) with APAC collaboration.
Are you a highly commercial and results-driven sales leader with extensive experience in the premium consumer electronics or audio sector?
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to take full accountability for driving and growing our sales business across the Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific markets (Oceania).
This is a high-impact, autonomous, remote role that requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for leading the entire sales cycle, from sell-in strategy and key account negotiation to driving successful sell-out performance across all major retailers, including online pure players and traditional offline channels.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
You will be the face of the brand in the Oceania region, with primary responsibility for achieving annual sales targets and elevating the brand's position.
1. Sales Strategy & Sell-In:
- Drive and grow the Oceania sales business with full accountability for achieving annual sales targets.
- Translate global strategies into concrete customer sales plans for Australia, Current Zealand, and Pacific markets.
- Negotiate and secure agreements, terms, and sales conditions with key retail partners (e.g., JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Amazon AU).
- Lead annual budgeting, cost planning, and end-to-end revenue forecasting for the region.
2. Channel & Sell-Out Management:
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts and build joint business plans to secure realistic sales and demand forecasts.
- Manage customer demand planning and collaborate with logistics partners to ensure efficient administration and robust sell-out results.
- Oversee retailer operations, supporting trade marketing execution, including the timely rollout of POS materials and in-store visibility programs.
- Monitor market dynamics and identify risks such as parallel imports and pricing pressures to safeguard brand equity and profitability.
3. Business Development & Strategic Growth:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities that enhance long-term commercial health and expand market presence.
- Develop partnerships and collaborations with distributors and industry stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning and lead assigned projects, providing crucial market insights and recommendations to company leadership.
Required Experience & Skills
This role demands a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the consumer electronics or audio industry, with strong exposure to premium/lifestyle brands.
- Key Account Management: Proven track record of managing offline retail operations for at least 5 years, preferably with leading Oceania retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman.
- Channel Management: Expert knowledge in comprehensive channel management, including distributor coordination, retail partner development, sell-in/sell-out performance analysis, and pricing alignment across markets.
- Financial Acumen: Responsible for end-to-end revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance planning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related commercial discipline.
- Traits: Self-motivated, reliable, hands-on, and adaptable mindset suited to a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across cultures.
